For 11 years we enjoyed the delights of Fairwood Corner, next to the Airfield. The farm shop did a roaring trade in penny sweets.

The last Gower Rally, in 1997, suffered the worst of the elements as described in the rally report.........
“Sadly, conditions had become impossible for many under canvas: tents were waterlogged, ground sheets afloat, awnings saturated and bedding sodden. Fortunately there was a saviour in the form of Eric Sawford, who with his new high powered Range Rover spent many hours towing cars that had bogged down and eleven caravans off the field so that they could leave for home.”
